Hey friends! Thanks so much for stopping by to see this simple, but cute flower card. This card was made to be featured in an Altenew Instagram Reel Hop called Flower Power. It was very easy to make too!
Create card base with black 130lb heavyweight cardstock cut and scored for an A2 size card (4.25 inches by 5.5 inches).
Stamp the inside of the flower with the solid middle stamp in Vineyard Berry ink.
For the yellow anthers of the flower, I used Gina K Wild Dandelion ink. Altenew has a great yellow ink, I just didn’t have it on hand. It’s called Warm Sunshine.
Stamp both the leaves and the flower with the stippling (dotted) stamp using Altenew Jet Black ink.
Die cut the flower and leaves with the Calming Reverie Die set.
For the gold string background, this is actually a cover die. I die cut the String Panel Cover Die from gold foil cardstock, then cut off the outer rectangle border to use on another project. Before die cutting, I used a sheet of the double-sided adhesive sheets to make it easy to adhere the panel to the card base.
Add string panel and leaves to the card base, then use black foam dimensional squares to pop up the flower on top of the leaves.
Cut a diagonal line at the end of the sentiment strip, then adhere it to the card. For the side that is on the flower, I used liquid glue, but for the edge of the strip not on the flower, I added one black foam dimensional square to keep it even.
Finally, I added my Cards by Candy stamp to the back!
This was such a cute and simple card to make! As a side note, keep all of the left over gold foil pieces after die cutting the string panel die. I was able to make another card using those pieces and the cover die as my template to accurately place those left over pieces. Blog post coming soon on that!
